Trying to find a file on a network where windows shares are used can be a frustrating task. It would involve opening each computer and then each share and performing a file search for the file that you are looking for. Often you would give up because of the time consumption and a feeling of frustration. Maybe IntranetBrowser can help:
IntranetBrowser implements a network spider that indexes all available files on the network and makes the resulting database available for use by the client application.
The result is a very fast search that allows both keyword searches and gob searches (*.* type). The speed is because it uses a MeteKit database that is optimized for this sort of flat search.
